The Free-Soil Party’s goal was to keep slavery out of the territories was the issue why were Whigs and Democrats forced to take a stand on slavery in the 1848 election .

Explanation:

The Free-Soil Party needed to support slavery in the new territories.

After the war, of course, there was no slavery to further, but the Dixiecrats were solidly upon equal rights for former slaves. It wasn't until John Kennedy and the 1960s that the Democrats began advocating ethnic assimilation and justice.

Which of the following was the most likelyreason President Truman decided to use atomic bombs against Japan?
JulsSmile [24]

Well it isn't D. Germany was on the ropes. It was all but over when the idea of the atomic bomb came up.

A: revenge was never a reason, although you might think it was.

B: His main fear was that after he had seen how hard the Japanese fought in Okinawa, he knew that the battle for Japan would be even worse: Japan had an army on the mainland that was 10 times that of Okinawa and they too would fight to the end. Answer B was a real concern.

C: He had no such agreement with the Soviet Union. In fact, a very small part of his reason for using the bomb was to warn the Soviets not to get any ideas about challenging the United States.

Why we should have to control over our need and Desire?? Can someone “HELP” me????
OLga [1]

That's a great question of yours why should we control what we desire.

  • Sometimes when we want something we act before we could think which could get you a-lot of places most of them not being good.

Desire is a strong word, it has basically the same meaning as to crave

  • What we really want (or desire) doesn't have to be good and lead to very bad things.

Sometimes desire is a good thing when you put it in the right places.

But most of the time its just our body thinking before out brain

Hope this helps!
