The Treaty of Versailles was the treaty that officially marked the end of the World War I. The country that suffered the most because of this treaty was Germany. There were 14 points in the treaty, and of them was that Germany has to give up on its colonies and overseas territories, and all of them to be mandates of the countries of the Allied Forces. This was a big blow for the German ambitions and economy, as they lost lot of free natural resources and free, large labor force. The loss of the colonies and overseas territories was actually one of the main reasons that later led to the World War II, as Germany wanted to be an imperial power and the natural resources to be divided more equally among the countries, not just few to have them all, while the others to have none.
