Explanation:From what i know with the force of impact on an asteroid a species whether it be animals or plants would not be able to survive the hit so the only logical reason that plants began to grow there again was that through time if animals began to roam around and left seeds or any other factor like seed coming from nearby plants or trees could of been why but a direct hit from an asteroid would leave the ground bare
