Boredom can cause your mind to wander, or think by itself in a way. This can affect your work ethic, and cause you to work less hard. By working less hard you aren't getting as much work as you should be. By doing this you are effectively piling more work for you to do later on. Once all that work comes back to you, you're going to be very stressed. And effects of stress are lower energy and headaches. With lower energy you put even less work in. Thus, your work will keep piling up and eventually you will fail. I hope this helped.
