Every 5 days the number is cut in half. So from 600 mg to day 5, the sample will be 300 mg. Then from day 5 to day 10, the sample will reduce to 150 mg. And finally, from day 10 to day 15, the sample will have reduced to:

75 mg

I hope this Helps!

Answer:

75 milligrams.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that Bismuth-210 has a half-life of about 5 days.

To solve our given problem we will use half-life formula.

y=a\cdot(\frac{1}{2})^{\frac{t}{b}}, where,

a = Initial value,

t = Time,

b = half-life.

Upon substituting our given values in above formula we will get,

y=600\cdot(\frac{1}{2})^{\frac{15}{5}}

y=600\cdot(0.5)^{3}

y=600\cdot 0.125

y=75

Therefore, 75 milligrams of Bismuth-210 will remain after 15 days.

Safety regulations require that the time between airplane takeoffs (on the same runway) will be at least 3 minutes. When taking
Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

1.96 planes

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the number of planes is shown below:

As we know that

System Inventory  is

= Flow rate in the system × Throughput time

where,

Flow rate is

= Frequency of taken off

= 16 planes ÷ hour

= 16 ÷ 60 Planes per minute

Throughput time  is

=  runway waiting time + runway Run time

= 33 seconds +  6 minutes × 60 seconds + 48 seconds

= 441  seconds

= 441  per 60 seconds

Therefore the number of planes is

= \frac{441}{60} \times \frac{16}{60}

= 1.96 planes

Evaluate F(1)
KonstantinChe [14]

ANSWER

B. 1

EXPLANATION

The given function is

f(x) =\left \{ {{x^{2} +3 (if) -5 \leq x< 1} \atop {x (if) 1 \leq x \leq 5 }} \right.

This is a piece-wise defined function.

We want to find f(1)

We substitute x=1 into f(x)=x because, 1 belongs to the interval,

1≤x≤5

f(1)=1

The correct answer is B.

You go to a Christmas fair with a big Ferris wheel. The wheel has ten seats, and two people are placed on each seat. Every minut
monitta

60 people have ridden the wheel in 30 minutes

The time is given as:

Time =30 \minutes

The number of seats on the wheel is given as:

Seats = 10\\

The number of people on a seat is given as:

People =2

Every minute a seat exits the platform.

This means that, 2 people exit the platform every minute

So, the number (n) of people that exit the platform after 30 minutes would be:

n =People \times Time

This gives

n = 2\times 30

Multiply

n = 60

Hence, 60 people have ridden the wheel
