He viewis it as a challenge, A.It is because he thinks he does not deserve to fall.He is sure about his own power and he wants to be back in Heaven and provoke God.He wants to dispute with God the place He  has in Heaven .He feels he has been challenged to show he is capable of retuning to Heaven being all glorious ,  powerful and proud .
