The rise of the Ghana empire can begin when they started trading with traders, who desired their gold and salt. They amassed a great amount of gold from their tax and eventually conquered nearby villages. Their fall became under the influence of bad leaders, invasion of muslims, and eventually falling to the Mali Civilization.
