<em>Gandhi acquired  the term “civil disobedience” to explain his strategy of non-violently by refusing  to yield with injustice, but he preferred the Sanskrit word satyagraha  which means the devotion to truth</em>

<em>After he was released from jail, he continued to protest the registration law by organizing a massive non-violent march and supporting labor strikes.</em>

<em>Gandhi committed the rest of his life fighting  against what he termed the  three great evils affecting India. </em>

<em>The first was the British rule, which Gandhi believed impoverished the Indian people. </em>

<em>The second evil was Hindu-Muslim non unity caused  by years of religious bitterness. </em>

<em>The last one was, the evil of tradition of Hindu of classifying millions of  those Indians born into the lowest social class, faced discrimination.</em>
