One day me and my family went on a vacation to New York. It was absolutely beautiful out there , I got to see the Statue of Liberty and learn all about the history behind it. As we were walking around the city we stopped in almost every store just to look around. But after walking for so long we decided to get some Chinese food. When we went in there we saw a sign that said “chow mein eating contest” I knew I had to compete. I ate 6 bowls of chow mein, got first place and a stomach ache! After we got out of there we decided I needed to work off all the noodles I had just ate so we kept walking around. We had no idea that New York would be having a zombie festival the week we go! My youngest sibling had no idea they were fake and all in makeup. Let’s just say she ran away absolutely bawling her eyes out. We looked everywhere for her and asked everyone if they had seen her. They didn’t. So we ended the day in the police station with all the scary big men waiting for my little sister to meet us after she had a ride in the cop car. And that was my very eventful day in New York City.

What role did the idea of states rights play in the civil war?
velikii [3]
The idea of states' rights had a big role in the Civil War. States struggled to agree on whether or not the federal government could interfere with slave trade and abolishment.

Some states wanted stronger individual states' rights so they could keep slaves, while others believed the government should step in and forbid slavery.

No problem.
