How does the celebration of heritage day bring unity and close the gaps of the past
Effectus [21]
Heritage day, as its name states, celebrates heritage (obviously). The reason that "closes gaps" from the past is because it celebrates culture that was suppressed in the past, and it promotes diversity and unity that was previously discouraged or prosecuted.

Which aspect of Charybdis frightens the men more? How does the poet’s language convey this fearfulness?
yawa3891 [41]
Hey there,

Your question states: Which aspect of Charybdis frightens the men more? How does the poet’s language convey this fearfulness? Well, it really all depends on what "Charybdis" is saying to the men. This would be a reason why the men would be frighten. So maybe he were to say things like there death could come to life, or things in that sort. And based on this poet's language, this would convey that anything could be fearless to anyone, it just really depends on what you say and on how you say it.

Hope this helps.

Treaty of Ghent - Outcomes of the War
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

Results of the Treaty of Ghent: According to the Terms of the Treaty of Ghent all conquered territory was to be returned, and commissions (official groups) were planned to settle the boundary of the United States and Canada. The British government realized that there was no chance of conquering any portion of the United States.

The Treaty of Ghent was significant for the Aboriginal peoples who participated in the War of 1812 in that it represents, in many ways, the failure of the British to understand not only the goals that the Natives had tried to achieve in the War, but also the realities facing the tribes before, and after the conflict.

Treaty of Ghent: December 24, 1814 On December 24, 1814, The Treaty of Ghent was signed by British and American representatives at Ghent, Belgium, ending the War of 1812.

What contribution did Roman government make to the rise of democracy
____ [38]
Roman government established the idea of sharing power between a main leader (in the Roman’s case the Emperor) and another branch (in the Roman’s case the senate). This established the foundation for checks and balances. It also took into account the people’s opinions, which would somehow reflect the American principle of we the people.
