The Developing ovarian follicles primarily secrete hormone Estrogen. Ovarian follicles are the basic units of female reproductive system. Estrogen, in females, are produced primarily by the ovaries, and during pregnancy, the placenta. Follicle-stimulating hormone stimulates the ovarian production of estrogens by the granulosa cells of the ovarian follicles and corpura lutea.
