The regular price is $9.99.  A 60% markup of that would be 0.60($9.99) = $5.99.  You'll then have to add this markup ($5.99) to the regular price ($9.99).

A faster way to calculate the selling price would be to mult. the regular price ($9.99) by 1.60 (which includes both the reg. price and the markup):

1.60($9.99) = $15.98 (selling price)

Michelle is building a rectangular landing strip for airplanes .She has material to cover 1/1,500 of a square mile. The landing
ANEK [815]
I think that the missing word here is:
"with the amount of the material that Michelle has"

Let's say that her landing strip is x miles long, then its area would be:

\frac{1}{6} *x

We also know how big it is:

\frac{1}{6} *x= \frac{1}{1 500}

now, let's multiply both sides by 6:
\frac{6}{6} *x= \frac{6}{1 500}
1 *x= \frac{3}{750}
x= \frac{1}{250}

So the answer is that it would be x= \frac{1}{250} miles wide

When converting from inches to feet, the measurement in inches, m, of an object varies directly with its measurement in feet, f,
jonny [76]

Step-by-step explanation:

wow, how complicated can one phrase this ...

the point being :

1 ft = 12 in and vice versa (1 in = 1/12 ft)

so, any measurements given in feet but needed in inches need to be multiplied by 12.

and any measurements given in inches but needed in feet need to be divided by 12.

so,

3.5 ft = 3.5×12 = 7/2 × 12 = 7×6 = 42 in

27 in = 27/12 = 9/4 = 2 1/4 or 2.25 ft

The perimeter of a building is 78 feet. The width of the building is seven more than three times the length of the building. Wha
Alchen [17]

P=2l+2w

W=7+3l

So substitute into the original equation

P=2l + 2(7+3l)

78=2l +14 + 6l

-14 -14

—————-

64=8l

8=length

W=7+3l

= 7+3(8)

=7+24

=31

Check your work

Perimeter=8+8+31+31

=78

Hope this helps
