Combine sentences 2, 3, and 4 to create a series.

The question asks about revisions to create more sentence length variety. There are already many short sentences so we want to choose an answer that would create a long sentence. Combining sentences 2, 3, and 4 would reduce the number of short sentences and create one long sentence but keeping clarity.

Hi! :)

What are the differences in volunteering between districts? Why?

Some districts have a lot more volunteers then others. In district 12, there are hardly any volunteers for the hunger games, so it is mostly allowed. In the higher districts it is done a lot, so they would have to limit how many, and who can volunteer for the hunger games!

How did Enlightenment thinkers approach the study of government?
dmitriy555 [2]
For the answer to the question above, they approached it with a critical eye and a focus on the natural rights of individuals and the rights of societies collectively. Rather than focusing on the religious the enlightenment thinkers often focused on the secular and established humanist perspectives and logic for the development of government.

"what do fish have to do with anything?" which sentence best identifies the theme of the text?
uranmaximum [27]

Answer:

I am assuming based upon the limited context of the story that "parents need to watch their children" best identifies the theme of the text as it demonstrates the paternal conflict as well. I am not sure if this is a multiple choice question or writer question where you can elaborate, but if it is the latter, I feel the sentence above most accurately depicts the theme evidently construed over her lack of attentiveness to her child's description of the day serving to both contrast and substantiate.
