In Germany anti semitism was extremely popular. Seeing as they had just finished WW1, the people were extremely religious. It is blamed that Jewish people were the cause of Jesus' death. The existing government showed hatred (minorly) for Jewish people. The Nazi party used these ideas to drive them onto a new level where he made up lies about Jewish people, and as a result, the Nazi party became one of the most prejudiced, horrible, nasty groups of politics in history
