What social changes occurred in the United States as a result of the war?
Shtirlitz [24]

With the end of World War II, the US lived a moment of prosperity. North Americans used the money they collected during the war to buy goods that were not available during the conflict. There was a large birth rate due back from the soldiers to their homes and with the increase of the economy unemployment fell a lot.

There were several social changes in the following years, among which we can mention the increase in the minimum wage, the expansion of social insurance and the foundation of the energy department.

However over time the high expenses with social programs and the country's involvement in the Vietnam War generated great inflation in the 70's, with this the economy suffered a fall and there was increase in unemployment and instability in the income of the country . Under Reagan's rule, inflation was gradually reduced and controlled, unemployment declined, but the federal budget deficit grew sharply in the 1980s, causing the country's trade balance to worsen and there were more imports than exports.

The post-war period was also marked by a strong civilian movement where various social groups, especially blacks, sought equal treatment before the law and society after suffering decades of discrimination.

What two events occurred in Boston that caused tension between British Parliament and the colonists
finlep [7]

The two events occurred in Boston that caused tension between British Parliament and the colonists were the Boston Massacre of 1770 and the Boston Tea Party of 1773.

-The Boston Massacre took place on the night of March 5, 1770. The tension caused by the military occupation of Boston, increased after the firings that a group of soldiers made against a group of protesters protesting against the rate hike on the part of England to recover from the economic losses after the war. John Adams would later say that, after the night of the Boston Massacre, the desire for independence of the United States of America began.

-The 16 of December of 1773 took place in Boston the denominated Boston Tea Party, in which a shipment of tea was sent to the sea. A group of settlers disguised as Indians threw the cargo of tea from three British ships into the sea. It was an act of protest by the American colonists against Great Britain and is considered a precedent of the United States War of Independence.

The rebellion of the settlers in the port of Boston was born as a result of the approval by Great Britain in 1773 of the Tea Act, which taxed the import from the metropolis of various products, including tea, to benefit the British Company of the East Indies to whom the colonists boycotted buying the tea of the Netherlands.
