B, D and E would be examples of onomatopoeia becuase onomatopoeia is any actual noises made, and b, d, and e would be examples of some such noises.

Is focus a closed syllable?
Dovator [93]
That is correct! focus is a closed syllable :) the only words that do not follow the closed syllable rule are syllables that end in:

"-old"
"-ild"
"-olt"

Of course there are a few that either are or aren't followed by the closed syllable rule, so always watch for words that end in:

"-ind"
"-ost"

I hope this helps! :)
