They build underlying assumptions that the audience is likely to accept. They might try to enhance the audience's interest by making them relate in the logical and emotional aspect of the subject by appealing to shared beliefs, experiences and values. They might also convey a shared sense of issues and timelines finding arguments effectively anchored within the audience's beliefs and values.

They use more persuasive language and facts and not "believe" or wishy-washy words. They sound confident.

Why does Cyrus spare Croesus's life in "As Rich as Croesus"?
Artist 52 [7]

Cyrus spares Croesus' life when he realizes he is an ordinary man. First Cyrus orders that Croesus burns to death on a pyre because he wants to prove that he has supernatural powers that would prevent him from burning. Then Cyrus changes his mind. However, his servants can't put out the flames, so Croesus prays to Apollo and a storm extinguishes the fire.

In the end, Cyrus is certain that Croesus is a good man and makes him his advisor.

Read the following exchange between Romeo and Juliet from act I of Romeo and Juliet. What does the excerpt reveal about the love
nlexa [21]
Their love is based on both physical and emotional attraction.

The use of imagery shows their love is predominantly physical. You can rule out D because although that may be true, it does not state anything relating to that in the small excerpt provided.

Hector asks for tips on improving his writing. Based on what you've learned about good writing, what advice would best help him?
Pani-rosa [81]
Hector should first start reading more so as to get acquainted with various styles of writing and ultimately find one he is the most comfortable with. Then he should write more and more, practice a lot because only through practice will he be able to improve. He might ask his friends to help him, or write to a writer for help, gather information and advice on writing, and ultimately, develop his own techniques and improve his writing.
