Answer:

<em>The answer is 56 seconds.</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>In this example,  if two lights at a local stadium are flickering, and at the same time they flicked. both at the same time. and again, one of the lights flickers at every 8 seconds with the other at 7 seconds.</em>

<em>Then,</em>

<em>We apply the lowest common multiple between the two lights.</em>

<em>Furthermore, the LCM refers to the actual numbers multiplied by each of the lights that flicked together.</em>

<em>Therefore the number of seconds till both lights will flicker at same time is </em>

<em>7 * 8 = 56 seconds.</em>

You need to find the first common multiple of both 7 and 8. In this case, the LCM (lowest common multiple) is actually the numbers multiplies by each other, or 56. So the answer is 56 seconds

Hope this helps

The product of 8 and x plus the quotient of y and 7. answer choices are (8 + x)/(7 + y) (8x) + (y/7) (8 + x)(y/7)
Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer: (8x) + (y/7)

The word 'product' means multiplication and the word 'quotient' means division. Only (8x) + (y/7) multiplies 8 and x while diving y and 7.

On a coordinate plane, parallelogram H I J K is shown. Point H is at (negative 2, 2), point I is at (4, 3), point J is at (4, ne
Mrrafil [7]
<h3>Answer:  Choice C.   (1,0)</h3>

============================================================

Explanation:

Point H is at (-2,2) and J is at (4,-2)

Focusing on the x coordinates, the midpoint is (x1+x2)/2 = (-2+4)/2 = 1.

The y coordinates have a midpoint of (y1+y2)/2 = (2+(-2))/2 = 0.

The midpoint is at (1,0). That's why the answer is choice C.

--------------------------

This next section is optional.

Points I and K are located at (4,3) and (-2,-3) respectively

Averaging the x coordinates gets us (x1+x2)/2 = (4+(-2))/2 = 1

Doing the same for the y coordinates gets us (y1+y2)/2 = (3+(-3))/2 = 0

We end up with the same midpoint (1,0)

The midpoint being the same for both diagonals proves that each diagonal is bisected, ie cut in half.

HELP ASAP <br> What is the slope of the line on the graph?
ollegr [7]
The slope of this line is -1/6.

2 Point:     (6,2)         (-6,6)
                   x₁ y₁         x₂ y₂

Remember:

    rise          change in y          y₂ - y₁          6 - 2            4
 ---------- =  ------------------- = ------------- = ----------- = ----------
    run            change in x         x₂ - x₁         -6 - 6          -12

Simplify 4/-12

     4 ÷ 4             1
  -------      = ------------- = -1/3
   -12 ÷ 4          -3

The slope of the line is -1/3.
