I doubt if Puritan women would hold any positions of leadership or of teaching in the congregation. As for speaking freely, well many non-Catholic groups would hold prayer meetings and Bible study groups but if the women were taught separately to the men, they certainly could speak freely amongst themselves. I really do not have info on that, but I wonder if you are getting mixed up with the Quakers?
