Excerpt from The Prophet (#3) Kahlil Gibran You often say, "I would give, but only to the deserving." The trees in your orchard

say not so, nor the flocks in your pasture. They give that they may live, for to withhold is to perish. Surely he who is worthy to receive his days and his nights, is worthy of all else from you. And he who has deserved to drink from the ocean of life deserves to fill his cup from your little stream. And what desert greater shall there be, than that which lies in the courage and the confidence, nay the charity, of receiving?25 What does the speaker mean when he compares humans to trees? A) The speaker claims that it is better to remain rooted in one place to truly bloom. B) The speaker suggests that humans, like trees, must give freely to thrive. C) The speaker expresses the idea that both trees and humans are unable to give to every deserving creature. D) The speaker makes the comparison to show that humans should give only to those who are deserving.

B) The speaker suggests that humans, like trees, must give freely to thrive.

The speaker scolds those who only give to the deserving, he compares people to trees in the way that they should give. He points out that a tree that does not give its fruit will die, and so will humans if they do not give. He also says that everyone is deserving.

When formulating a research question, a researcher should write a question
Archy [21]
I would say the correct answer is that has an undetermined answer.
If a subject has been thoroughly covered, then there is no need for this researcher to do it all over again. If it's impossible to answer, there is no need to try. If it can be answered easily, then it doesn't really require a research. This leaves us with the last option, because a researcher might want to try and determine the answer.

Why does smoking harm your respiratory system
ira [324]

Explanation:

Smoking inflames and irritates the lungs. Even 1 or 2 cigarets causes irritation and coughing. Smoking also can destroy your lung tissue, this decreases the number of airspaces and blood vessels in the lungs resulting in less oxygen to be given to critical parts of your body.
