Social media can have different effects of students depending on the person. Whether it's positive , for example posting a photo of a dog or cute photo can improve a person's self worth and interacting with friends can be a huge important role in making a student feel like they have a purpose . While on the other hand , unfortunately other students have a tendency to bully each other so this can be used in a negative way. For example posting a photo of ones self, and having a bully comment something mean, can make a person's self worth and self esteem decline.

It all depends on the maturity level and what they are capable of their own mental health understanding !

Therefore, when individuals compare themselves to individuals portrayed in the media, they may begin to view themselves as unworthy or lacking in some way. Because the media often gives an inaccurate portrayal of an individual's life, an individual can develop unrealistic expectations.
