Where Caroline grew up, everyone knew everyone else, no one locked their doors, and a person's word could be trusted. When she w
ent to work in another part of the country, she was surprised by how few people had similar values and beliefs. Caroline had to adjust to __________ differences.
A cultural difference is a difference in a value, belief and practice system which is different according to the place you live or work in. Caroline had to adjust to cultural differences because in her new work- location, people upheld different values and beliefs which result in different practices. This means that people in this new part of the country would not behave as she expected because they upheld different standards and would consequently act differently.
