Answer:

Sara drives 22.5 miles per gallon and 299.25 miles in 13.3 gallons of gas.

Step-by-step explanation:

Sara drives 72 miles on 3.2 gallons of gas and we have to calculate how many miles per gallon she can drive.

By unitary method

∵ 3.2 gallons of gas is used to drive = 72 miles

∴ 1  gallon of gas is used to drive = 72÷3.2 miles

                                                       = 22.5 miles

∴ 13.3 gallons of gas is used to drive = 13.3×22.5 = 299.25 miles

Therefore Sara drives 22.5 miles per gallon of gas and on 13.3 gallons of gas she drives 299.25 miles.

What does difference of squares mean? How can you recognize it when looking at an expression?
ki77a [65]
It is called a difference of squares because there are two things squared being subtracted. You can recognize it when there are two terms, subtraction between the two of them, and you know the square root of both

Please explain how I find the surface area and the answer please
docker41 [41]
You can take it apart. There are a top and bottom (both the same) right triangle. So you can find the area of that by multiplying 8*6 and divide by two. Then multiply by two because there are 2 triangles.
You are left with three rectangular sides: One 10x10, one 10x6, and one 10x8.
So your whole equation looks like this: A = 2[(8*6)/2]+(10*10)+(10*6)+(10*8)
