Multiplication and division property of exponents.

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

If we want to multiply the powers which is having the same base. Then we have to apply the Multiplication property of the exponents as,

x^{m} \times x^{n}, since the base is the same x, we can add the powers as,

= $x^{m+n}

If we want to divide the powers with the same base, then we have to apply the division property of the exponents as,

$ \frac{x^{m} }{x^{n}} ,  since the base is the same x, we can subtract the powers as,

= $x^{m-n}

In case x is 2 and m is 3 and 4 then the product can be written as, 2^{3+4} = 2^{7},

On dividing, m = 4 and n = 3 then we will get, $ 2^{4-3} = 2^{1}  = 2

Solve the system of equations. 3x – 4y = 8 18x – 5y = 10 x= y =<br>
Zepler [3.9K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution by substitution method

3x-4y=8

and 18x-5y=10

Suppose,

3x-4y=8→(1)

and 18x-5y=10→(2)

Taking equation (1), we have

3x-4y=8

⇒3x=4y+8

⇒x=( 4y+8)/ 3  →(3)

Putting x= (4y+8 )/3  in equation (2), we get

18x-5y=10

18( (4y+8) /3)  -5y=10

⇒24y+48-5y=10

⇒19y+48=10

⇒19y=10-48

⇒19y= -38

⇒y=- 38 /19

 ⇒y= -2→(4)

Now, Putting y=-2 in equation (3), we get

x=4y+8

x= (4(-2)+8) /3

 ⇒x= (-8+8)/ 3

 ⇒x= 0/ 3

⇒x=0

∴x=0  and  y= -2

What is -15x=0 solution
cricket20 [7]
Here is the method for solving that equation:

Step #1:  Write the equation:

             -15x = 0

Step #2:  Divide each side of the equation by -15 :

                 <u>x = 0</u>

What is the graph description for y=-10x
Serga [27]
Y = - 10x has a negative slope, m = -10, and a y-intercept of (0, 0).

The graph includes the following points:

{(-2, 20), (-1, 10), (0, 0), (1, -10), (2, -20)}.

Attached is a screenshot of the graph, where it includes the y-intercept crossing along the point of origin, (0, 0).
