Alexander the Great believed that he can create a world's empire, where all traditions, cultures, nations and religions could be incorporated and thus create a common culture for them all. He wanted to create a global empire. Today as we can see through the process of globalization we have similar ideas, where we are trying to tighten the relations between different regions.
