At an operation on the East Coast, the salad bar was a popular attraction. A food handler assigned to prep items for the salad

bar noticed she had an infected cut on her finger. She bandaged the cut and went to work. While she was tossing the salad, the bandage fell off of her finger and into the lettuce. A short time later, a customer notified the manager that she had found a used bandage in her salad. The manager made the necessary apologies and quickly comped her meal. Fortunately, the customer was very understanding, and the rest of the evening proceeded without incident.

What are the similarities and differences between neurotransmitters and hormones
MatroZZZ [7]
Neurotransmitters work locally and their actions are very fast. Both hormones and neurotransmitters act as chemical messengers in the body. However, neurotransmitters' actions are short-lived while hormones act for longer periods of time. Neurotransmitters are delivered through the bloodstream, whereas hormones are found primarily in the synaptic cleft. Hormones are mostly released by glands, whereas neurotransmitters are made in the cell body of the neuron.

If a researcher was collecting data from the same group of 30 people from infancy through childhood, they would be using the ___
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

a. longitudinal

Explanation:

A longitudinal study examines a given group over a long period of time, so collecting data from the same group of 30 people over their lifetime certainly fits that definition.  It's more like an evolution study.

A cross-sectional compares different groups at the same point in time.  So, it's more like a survey.

A microgenetic is much focused in time, providing multiple data sets in a short time to examine rapid evolution of a subject.

An experimental study design will make interactions and experiments with the study group, while this is not the case here apparently, and experimental is usually for a much shorter period than a generation.
