Answer:

c.45%

Explanation:

The Formula for return on sales=Operating profit/Net Sales

Sales=$2,000

Less:

Cost of Goods Sold $ (1,100)

Operating profit $900

Return on sales=$900/$2,000=45%

It should be noted that in many cases to reach out on operating profit, the operating expense are also deducted from operating profit for the sake of this formula. In that scenario the correct answer would have been 10% return on sales i.e $900-$700=$200/$2,000=10%

As the 10% option is missing in MCQ, therefore 45% is selected

lorasvet [3.4K]

Answer:

Taxable Income = pretax accounting income + warranty expense + depreciation expense - warranty costs were incurred - MACRS depreciation

Taxable Income = 80 + 7 + 20 - 2 - 35

Taxable Income = $ 70

Centipede's income tax payable = Taxable Income multiply tax rate

Centipede's income tax payable = 70 multiply 40%

Centipede's income tax payable = $ 28 Million

Note: I have assumed that tax rate is 40%

When a firm competes in a relatively small geographically defined specific area, it is using a(n) _______ strategy?
Lady_Fox [76]

The answer to the missing word on the statement above is market focus. When a firm competes in a geographically defined specific are, it is using a market focus. For a business to be market-focused, you have to look outside the company for input and data essential to create strategic and tactical judgements. Market focus means you have to have a great deal of understanding your customers. It also means you have to know your competitors very well, and anticipate their next moves.
