Answer:

Appeasement : the action of satisfying the demands of an aggressive person, country, or organization: a policy of appeasement.

Explanation:

Why did England and France choose this path? : The main reason why Britain/England and France embraced the appeasement policy was because they did not want the whole of Europe to be dragged into a world war by Hitler. It was a policy being persued due to the lessons learnt from world war one.

Why didn't it work on Hitler? : Essentially the Policy of Appeasement did not succeed with the nations it was designed to protect: it failed to prevent war. The failure of the Policy was largely deemed on that Appeasement was misconceived; Hitler’s ambitions to increase Germany’s borders and to expand Lebensraum, stretched much further than the legitimate grievances of Versailles.

When the cost of the nation's imports exceeds its exports over certain period of time, the situation is called <em>"trade deficit"</em>; during that period from 2000 to 2012 the US National saving decreased and the US Dollar overly flowed out to foreign markets, but foreign investments into US governments bonds increased which also made the country to have large net capital inflow. Thereby the answer would be <em>c)</em><em>:</em>

<em>"The U.S. had a trade deficit and a large net capital inflow."</em>

Who actually discovered America?
makkiz [27]
The voyages of Christopher Columbus led to the first lasting European contact with the Americas, inaugurating a period of European exploration, conquest, and colonization that lasted for several centuries. Columbus was not the first European explorer to reach the Americas having been preceded by the Norse expedition led by Leif Erikson in the 11th century. Leif Erikson was an Icelandic explorer considered by some as the first European to land in North America (excluding Greenland), before Columbus. There is much debate as some say that many different people, spanning centuries, set foot on the New World (as the Americas were called) before Columbus, and, of course, the ancestors of the Native Americans had already discovered it many years before.
