Segregation in the United States Armed Forces was required by Jim Crow laws.

The Jim Crow laws were state and local laws in the United States, promulgated by the white state legislatures, that at the time were dominated by the Democrats after the Reconstruction period between 1876 and 1965. These laws advocated the racial segregation in all public facilities by de jure mandate under the slogan "separate but equal" and applied to African-Americans and other non-white ethnic groups in the states of the United States. In reality, this led to treatment and accommodation being generally inferior to those insured for American whites, systematizing a number of economic, educational and social disadvantages. The de jure segregation was applied mainly in the southern United States. On the other hand, in the north, segregation was generally de facto predominantly towards blacks who lived in urban ghettos.

Some examples of Jim Crow laws were segregation in public schools, public places, public transportation and the segregation of bathrooms and restaurants; In addition, there were also sources of drinking water for whites and blacks. The US military was also segregated. The Jim Crow laws were derived from the black codes (1800-1866), which had also limited the civil rights and civil liberties of African-Americans.

What factors led to economic changes in the north
weeeeeb [17]

Answer: The North was an industrial giant.

Explanation:

The industrial revolution that engulfed the United States was mainly reflected in the North of the country. Therefore, in the twentieth century, the country will be one of the most significant industrial factors in the world. In the North, there were substantial banks, compared to the south, a total of 13% of banks were stationed. The North was developing rapidly thanks to the Industrial Revolution. In the North, an excellent rail network was built, so that the flow of goods and people flowed significantly faster.

The North was well on its way to a commercial and productive economy, which would have a direct impact on its wartime capability. By 1860, 90 percent of national manufacturing output came from northern states. Even in an agricultural sense, the North was more super-ironical. While traditional agricultural production continued to be nurtured in the south, mechanization was mainly in use in the North. All of these factors are also very important to the result of the American Civil War.

What did the fugitive free slave law require northerners to do
Natalka [10]

Answer:

Hey. Here's the answer.

The Act was one of the most controversial elements of the 1850 compromise and heightened Northern fears of a "slave power conspiracy." It required that all escaped slaves, upon capture, be returned to their masters and that officials and citizens of free states had to cooperate.
