The picture shows a market in a town in the Netherlands. I can also see trading taking place and people interacting with the merchants trading goods and exchanging coins or goods the people want to buy. This action is similar to today's system, because now people also interact with sellers and give moneys in return for clothes, food, toys, electronics, and etc.

It reflects economic and social changes by having people of different status interacting. It also shows a woman in the picture who wouldn't be in there if not to show changes in the social situation.
