The answer to this sentence completion question is 'resolution'. In novels falling action is often followed by the resolution or also known as 'denoument'. This characterizes the conclusion or ending of the story in a novel and is the last element of a plot.

OLEGan [10]
I assume that by aggressive verb you mean a verb which shows the most emotion - because there is no such thing as an aggressive verb in grammar. Anyway, based on that understanding, I believe the correct answer is 1. batter.
To batter means to hit hard over and over again, which to me shows a lot of aggression, which is why I'd choose that option. The other options do not show the same emotion.
