I think we should howver it make beca double edged sword because the arms deal will bring jobs to the US. Do we have a moral obligation? Yes the killing of the journalist was a plot by Saudi Arabian assassins. He went to the Turkey consulate after leaving Virginia and once inside no one knows a thing. I think he knew his life was in danger. I think if the US didnt participate in business deals because of shady business practices and assassinations we would never get a deal done. I definitely think the Saudis should have sanctions or reprecussions if its proven but there is NO video at the, consulate allegedly. We have openly had assassins like Saddam, Khadafi, Osama, Kim Un Jong do deals with US and hasnt stopped our business dealings yet.

Evaluate the extent to which the emergence of regional identities shaped the political development of the United States from 180
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

After independence, distinct regional identities began to develop in the United States between the north and south of the country.

In the north, a liberal and open society began to develop, with an economy based on manufacturing and industrial production, and where religious concepts, although present, did not greatly determine the daily life of the inhabitants. In this region, wealth is mediated not so much by land extensions, but by the possession of goods or even the ownership of means of production.

In the south, on the other hand, society took a much more conservative, religious, and above all racist course. In it, the white man had an absolute superiority of rights over the blacks. Furthermore, there was a rural society, where the main production was agricultural and livestock in nature, and where wealth was mediated by the extensions of land that each landowner owned.

These social differences soon became political, with the Republican Party representing the north and the Democrats representing the south; and it was these differences that led to the conflict that led to the Civil War.

Southern apologists claimed the master - slave relationship was more humane than employer - worker relationships because
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

it afforded greater long-term security

Explanation:

it offered more opportunities for job training – this is not the correct answer. Slave apologists from the west didn’t care much for job training opportunities.

it afforded greater long-term security – this is the correct answer. Southerners who apologized slavery thought slaves actually benefited from this way of life where someone offers them control, plan for life, and structured job. In their ideas, slaves would be lost, frightened, even irresponsible if they had freedom. By enslaving them, they believed they gave them security and stability. This kind of life, they argued, is better than workers who had jobs and freedom in the North, as slaves had proper care and protection.

it was actually a "freer" relationship – this is not the correct answer. The southern apologists didn’t claim slaves were freer in this type of relationship, just that it was better for them.

it included women in the workforce – this is not the case. The problem of women's work rights was not mentioned at the time.
