Hey. So for this problem, you're going to have to rewrite it in y=mx+b form.

Equation 1: x-4y=-2

Subtract x from both sides: -4y=-x-2

Divide by -4 to get y by itself: y=1/4x+1/2

Equation 2: -2x-y=-5

Add 2x to both sides: -y=2x-5

Divide by -1 to get y by itself: y=-2x+5

I'm kind of blind so I believe that matches up with graph C. Solution should be (2,1)

Answer:

<h2>Bibi ate 6.3 pounds of food, approximately.</h2><h2>Rexy ate 5.7 pounds of food, approximately.</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

1. What is this situation about?

The situation described is about the amount of food those dogs eat, and its relation with their weights.

2. What are the quantities in this situation?

The quantities are aboth the weight of each dog, and the number of pounds of dog food.

3. What mathematical questions could we ask?

We could ask the pounds of food each dog eats, in proportion with their weights.

4. Answer the question.

To answer that question, we just need to form a proportion.

\frac{8}{10.5}=\frac{12-x}{x}

Where 12-x is the total pounts Rexy ate, and x is the total pounts Bibi ate.

8x=126-10.5x\\8x+10.5x=116\\18.5x=116\\x=\frac{116}{18.5} \approx 6.3

Therefore, Bibi ate 6.3 pounds of food, approximately.

Then, 12-x = 12-6.3 = 5.7

Which means, Rexy ate 5.7 pounds of food, approximately.

Calculate the perimeter of the figure
larisa86 [58]

Perimeter is distance all around the side of the figure, so you would do:

8 + 7 + 19 + 3 + y + x

Plug in y and x that you solved before: 8 + 7 + 19 + 3 + 11 + 4

Add them!: 52

The perimeter is 52 meters.

The first 4 terms of a 10-term geometric series are listed below. Which expression represents the sum
Stella [2.4K]

Given:

First 10 term of a geometric series are:

\dfrac{16}{25}+\dfrac{8}{5}+4+10+...+a_10

To find:

The expression that  represents the sum of the series.

Solution:

The first term of the given geometric series is:

a_1=\dfrac{16}{25}

The common ratio of the given geometric series is:

r=\dfrac{a_2}{a_1}

r=\dfrac{\dfrac{8}{5}}{\dfrac{16}{25}}

r=\dfrac{8}{5}\times \dfrac{25}{16}

r=\dfrac{5}{2}

The sum of first n terms of a geometric sequence is:

S_n=\dfrac{a_1(1-r^n}{1-r}

Where r is the common ratio.

Putting a_1=\dfrac{16}{25},r=\dfrac{5}{2},n=10 in the above formula, we get

S_{10}=\dfrac{16}{25}\left(\dfrac{(1-(\dfrac{5}{2})^{10}}{1-\dfrac{5}{2}}\right)

Therefore, the correct option is C, i.e., \dfrac{16}{25}\left(\dfrac{(1-(\dfrac{5}{2})^{10}}{1-\dfrac{5}{2}}\right).
