Total amount of cardboard the designer will need is 62.5 square feet.

Solution:

Side length of the base = 5 ft

Area of the base = Side × Side

                            = 5 ft × 5 ft

Area of the base = 25 ft²

Area of a triangle  =\frac{1}{2} \times5\times\frac{15}{4}

                            = 9.375 ft²

Area of 4 triangle = 4 × 9.375

                             = 37.5 ft²

Total area of the shape = Area of the base + Area of 4 triangle

                                       = 25 + 37.5

                                       = 62.5 ft²

Total amount of cardboard the designer will need is 62.5 square feet.

What is the solution set for -4x-10 ≤ 2?
SashulF [63]

Answer:

x≥−3

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's solve your inequality step-by-step.

−4x−10≤2

Step 1: Add 10 to both sides.

−4x−10+10≤2+10

−4x≤12

Step 2: Divide both sides by -4.

−4x /−4 ≤ 12 /−4

= x≥−3

laiz [17]

Answer:

Probability, eh?

Step-by-step explanation:

To figure out how likely an event is, we just put the number of the blue bands over the total number of 'other' bands.

Pretty easy!

\frac{6}{25}

(or do you want it in percent?)

24%%

(I remember there was a weird notation for these things, but I forgot it)

It is unlikely he will choose a blue band, as it is much more likely he will choose a 'other' band.

Remember, the smallest number for an event will make it the most unlikeliest to happen out of all the others.

Hope this helps!
