Let s = Car B's speed

Car B is 15 mph faster than A, therefore

(s - 15) = Car A's speed

Write a distance equation; dist = speed * time

2(s-15) = 1.5s

2s - 30 = 1.5s

2s - 1.5s = 30

.5s = 30

s = 60 mph is car B's speed

Confirm this find the distances, they should be equal

2 (60-15) = 90

1.5 (60) = 90

Tell whether the equation has one, zero, or
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]
So starting with the question which is
4x-3=2x+13
All you have do is subtract 2x from 4x which is 2x
So now the equation will become
2x-3=13
Minus 3 on both sides So 2x is left over
2x=16
X=8

In ΔABC, point M is the midpoint of side AB and point D is the midpoint of segment MC. Prove that the area of ΔADC= the area of
Anna11 [10]
A line segment from a vertex to the midpoint of the opposite side is a "median". A median divides the area of the triangle in half, as it divides the base in half without changing the altitude.
AAMC is half AABC. AADC is half AAMC, so is 1/4 of AABC. (By the formula for area of a triangle.)
ABMC is half AABC. ABMD is half ABMC, so is 1/4 of AABC. (By the formula for area of a triangle.)
Then, AADC = 1/4 AABC = ABMC, so AADC = ABMC by the transitive property of equality.

which second-degree polynomial function has a leading coefficient of -1 and root 4 with multiplicity 2
olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

  f(x) = -x^2 +8x -16

Step-by-step explanation:

With the given data, we can write the factored function as ...

  f(x) = -1(x -4)^2 . . . . . -1 is the leading coefficient; exponent of 2 gives root multiplicity

  f(x) = -x^2 +8x -16
