The correct answer is D.

In this sentence, the author uses logos by providing clear and exact information about population growth both in the United States and outside of it.

He uses this infomation to convince his readers that, due to this rapid increasse, his solution, as hard and unmoral as it might seem, is the right one to deal with this global and pressing issue.

The argument based on logos relies on logic and supporting evidence. Among the choices, the answer is
D. As of 1973, the U.S had a population of 210 million people, who were increasing by 0.8 percent per year. Outside our lifeboat, let us imagine another 210 million people (say the combined populations of Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Morocco, Pakistan, Thailand and the Philippines) who are increasing at a rate of 3.3 percent per year.

What effect does Mather create with the cumulative sentence at the beginning of the essay? how does he create a different effect
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer:

A rising tension that gradually fades.

Explanation:

The beginning of the essay is a strong sentence that keeps adding elements of suspense as it develops, eventually making the sentence overloaded with information (especially considering that it is the first sentence of the essay). Nevertheless, the entire sentence seems to describe a single action.

The second sentence is a complex sentence that, in contrast to the first, has several smaller steps in the development of the plot. The steps are divided but complementary; they happen independently of each other and add to each other's meaning, at the same time.

Guys, I heard a noise in the room next to my room. But nobody is downstairs (that where I am)... what do I do? Please help me.
lora16 [44]
Get into your closet and hide in the farthest corner but take your phone. Then text your parents (turn your sound off and even your vibrate) if they are there if they aren't go out a window and go to your neighbor's house. but if you don't quietly open your door and bolt to a room that does or if you can the front door don't trip and keep a cool head also investigating isn't a good choice and just hope that it was only something falling down.
