Answer:

The answers to the question: Which of the following listening strategies would be most effective in helping you focus on what the speaker is saying, rather than how you would like to respond, are: Being attentive, hearing the whole message and listening for details.

Explanation:

In communication, especially active communication, there are many skills that we need to put into use in order to achieve our goal. One part of active communication is called active listening, and active listening has the purpose of allowing you to really engage yourself with a speaker, actually understand the entirety of what is being said, and use it productively to generate communication between listeners and speakers. In order to be a successful active listener, a person needs to first, pay attention to the speaker, which means, eliminating all distractions. Second, the listener must remain attentive, and listening, to the entire speech given by the speaker, otherwise this might lead to misinterpreation and miscommunication. Third, listening for details, or clues, is important, because they also give a listener tips and hints on the feelings of the other, and this enhances communication even further. These, then, are all strategies, among many others, that enhance active listening, and communication.
