Cognitive Strategy

The learning process is not merely the process of delivering material in certain fields of science, on the contrary the more important is the process of developing students' cognitive strategy abilities. In the field of education that is important is how to help students learn a set of appropriate strategies that can be used in solving various problems. Good thinkers use strategy routinely to solve problems. Good thinkers also know when and where to use strategy (metacognitive knowledge of strategy). Understanding when and where to use strategies often arises from monitoring activities undertaken by students in the learning situation. Cognitive strategy is also an induction thinking process, where students learn to build knowledge based on facts or principles they know. Cognitive strategies are not related to the subject matter of certain disciplines, because they are students' internal thinking skills and can be applied in various fields of science. This is seen when students learn material in a field of science, they are also involved in the process of developing cognitive strategies.

This cognitive ability is usually interpreted in ways that are used by students to guide their learning, the way they think, act, or feel something. Cognitive strategy is one of the important cognitive aspects skills mastered by a student in learning or solving problems. Cognitive strategy is the highest ability of the cognitive domain, after analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. This cognitive strategy can be learned by students

Question options:

A) low on consensus

B) high on reliability

C) high on adaptability

D) high on consistency

E) low on distinctiveness

Answer:

d. high on consistency

Explanation:

High on consistency in attribution theory is attributed to internal causes. Here Janice Yoder is seen to have troubles with every team she works with and not occasionally as we would think it may be the the other team members' fault. She moves from on team to another and still has problems with team members and therefore the fault is likely from her and is internal/high consistency and not external/low consistency under the attribution theory.

Answer:

Servant Leadership

Explanation:

Dave should adapt to the servant leadership model. According to this model, the leader is second to his employees. He listens to his employees before he makes any decision and makes sure he incorporates their opinion.

Now since Dave is a new commissioner and is unaware of programs in place, and the employees know more than him, he should take the opinion of his employees and then make a decision.
