Idk if your teacher will mind if the y-axis and the x-axis were different (x goes by 1's, y goes by 45) I also forgot to put a line....

To find the slope, use the slope formula and plug in 2 points. I will use (3, 135) and (5,225):

m=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}

m=\frac{225-135}{5-3}

m=\frac{90}{2}

m = 45

The slope is 45. This means that every minute, 45 words are something(typed/written/read - idk)

trasher [3.6K]
1. As you can see in the graph attached, the x axis represents the time in seconds and the y axis represents the height in meters.

 2. Therefore, to solve this exercise and calculate <span>how many seconds is the nail 50 m above the ground, you must draw a segment from 50 meters to the curve and then, you need to draw another segment from that point at the curve, to the x axis, as it is shown in the figure attached.

 3. You can conclude that </span>the nail is 50 meters above the ground<span> in 3.9 seconds.

 Therefore, the answer is: 3.9 s</span>
