Germany was severly punished. It could no longer have a large army, just enough to defend itself. It also couldn't have an airforce or navy. Though, as we know, Germany broke all the rules put on it.

After Germany had surrendered, Britain and America had control over the Western half of Germany, and the Soviet Union had control of the Eastern part of Germany. In West Germany, the Americans and Brits set up a capitalist government, in East Germany, the Soviets had set up a communist government. America had also set up the UN (United Nations) to help prevent another war like that happening again. Germany also had to stop building up a military.

Hope this helps!

Whats hammurabis code
swat32

<span>The Code of Hammurabi is a set of rules or</span><span> </span><span>laws</span><span> </span><span>enacted by King Hammurabi of Babylon. The code governed the people living in his rapidly growing empire. By the time that Hammurabi's died, his empire included much of modern-day Iraq, extending up from the Persian Gulf along the Tigris & Euphrates rivers.</span>

There are as many as 300 laws that cover a wide variety of subjects: homicide, assault, divorce, debt, adoption, tradesman’s fees, agricultural practices, & even the brewing of beer!

The code is best known from a stele made of black diorite, more than 7 feet tall, that is now in the Louvre in Paris. The stele was found at the site of Susa, (now modern-day Iran) by excavators who were led by Jacques de Morgan in the early 20th century. Scholars believe that it was brought to Susa in the 12th century B.C. by an Elamite ruler who subsequently erased a portion of it in preparation for inscribing it himself.

Hope this helps! :)

Why do you think the catholic church was so committed to defending the literal meaning of the bible passages?
ludmilkaskok [199]
The main reason why the Catholic Church was committed to defending the literal meaning of the Bible passages is because they feared that people would stray from the church if they started to develop their own, different interpretations of the Bible.

The use of white primaries ended in georgia during the 1940s because:.
otez555 [7]

The Texas white primary system was found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, which decided 8–1. In that decision, the Supreme Court found that a state legislation passed in Texas in 1923 was unconstitutional because it allowed the state Democratic Party to discriminate racially. Most Southern states ended their selectively inclusive white primaries as a result of the case.
