As I climbed on and started speeding down the street, I could feel my sister’s newfound respect fading like an old star, but I c

ouldn’t stop. I turned the corner of Charles and Jefferson as if nothing could touch me – I rode faster and faster. As I rode past the Kizers’ house, . . . one of them shouted, “Nice wig!” And I yelled back, my face bent close to the handlebars, “It’s my real hair!” And then another block up, Ruth Kennedy shouted did I know I was wearing my slippers, and I yelled, “They’re my actual feet!”

I agree “A” would be the best answer choice, because none of the other choices seem correct. For example, “B” is very visibly incorrect. Judging by the way people talked to our main character, I would guess people have little to no respect for her. Your Welcome!

Zina [86]

Answer:

"The program was written by Sara, who is an expert in her field."

"To whom should I talk to about the report?"

Explanation:

Who is a pronoun that represents the subject of a sentence:

 • Who would like to go to the supermarket?
 • Who built that castle?

Whom is a pronoun that represents the object of either a verb or a preposition:

 • To whom was the song dedicated?
 • Whom do you trust?
 • I am not sure with whom I will go to the concert.

By replacing the pronoun with he/she or him/her it is easier to realize its function:

Who/whom took my laptop?

He took my laptop (RIGHT) - him took my laptop (wrong)

So in this case, the correct pronoun to use is who.

Who/whom should I talk to about the issue with my boss?

I should talk to he (wrong) - I should talk to him. (RIGHT)

Here, the correct pronoun to use is whom.

Answer:

The best answer to the question: Which excerpt from "Eighty Years and More" supports the theme that everyone deserves equality in the eyes of the law, would be, D: Tell them all you have seen in this office- the sufferings of these Scotch women, robbed of their inheriitance and left dependent on their unworthy sons..."

Explanation:

"Eighty Years and More, Reminiscenses 1815 - 1897" by Elizabeth Cady Stanton is an autobigraphical narration writen by Stanton on her own life and experiences as a woman, a mother, a wife, a householder and a fighter for the rights of women. Although the author herself establishes that Eighty Years does not have the same intent as her best known work "The History of Woman Suffrage", she also mentions facts of her own life that fed her intention to push through the concepts and ideals of the women´s liberation movement. From the excerpts shown here in the list, number four would be the best one to show how Stanton felt about women´s rights, and how these should have been placed at the same level as those of men. Calling upon the suffering of Scottish women, who were totally dependent on their sons, and therefore on men, even if they were independent in their own right, shows how strongly Stanton believed that everyone should be held equal when it came to applying the law. Those Scottish women should have been given their right over their inheritance instead of it being passed on to their sons, just because they were men.
