What are punnett squares used for?

Biology

The answer I believe is E because the Punnett square is a square diagram that is used to predict an outcome of a particular cross or breeding experiment. The diagram is used by biologists to determine the probability of an offspring having a particular genotype. Punnett squares are also used to show all of the combinations of alleles that might result from a cross and the likelihood that each might occur.

Discuss cell surface transport in the structure of constituents
nika2105 [10]

Cell surface or membrane is made of phospholipid bilayer with embedded proteins and sugars. Cell membrane acts as a barrier between cell and its external environment but it is also responsible for the communication with other cells and transport of molecules inside and outside the cell. It is selectively permeable to ions and molecules (some of them pass through the membrane easily, while others require transport proteins or channels). There are 4 ways of molecule transport:

1. Diffusion – no energy required

2. Facilitated transport – transport proteins included

3. Active and co-transport – energy required

4. Vesicle transport (exocytosis and endocytosis)

Microvilli are extensions of cell membrane that increase its surface for diffusion.

Different types of cell junctions have a different influence on the membrane transport. For example, tight junctions are a barrier and the molecules are unable to pass through.

Which factors can prevent permanent fixation of an allele (i.e. maintain genetic diversity)? Hint: You're going to have to try d
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

The answer is Genetic drift and natural selection.

Explanation:

Genetic drift is a change is genetic composition that enhances organisms adaptation to an environment. The continuous change gives an extra advantage and enhances better chances of survival

Natural selection is the process that results in the adaptation of an organism to its environment by relatively reproducing its genes.

This two factors are the major factors that like causes allele fixation
