increasing intracellular cAMP leads to smooth muscle relaxation by: Group of answer choices inhibiting IP3 channels, leading to

decreased Ca2 in the sarcoplasm and reduced contraction. Increasing the relative activity of MLCP, leading to a decrease in tension. Activating K channels, increasing K leaking out of the cell which hyperpolarizes it and decreases the likelihood of Ca2 entry. Lower levels of MLCK activity, leading to decreased contraction.

Answer:

1. Inhibiting IP3 channels, leading to decreased Ca2 in the sarcoplasm and reduced contraction.

2. Increasing the relative activity of MLCP, leading to a decrease in tension.

3. Activating K channels, increasing K leaking out of the cell which hyperpolarizes it and decreases the likelihood of Ca2 entry.

Explanation

In smooth muscle, cyclic AMP (cAMP) mediates relaxation because cAMP inhibits a specific kinase required for myosin light chain protein (MLCP) phosphorylation, thereby triggering contraction in the smooth muscles. It has been shown that cAMP inhibits 1,4,5-trisphosphate (IP3)-dependent calcium ions (Ca 2+) release by activation of the cGMP-dependent protein kinase (PKG). PKG proteins act to modulate Ca2+ oscillations by stimulating sarcoplasmic Ca2+-ATPase membrane proteins, increasing Ca2+ in the sarcoplasmic reticulum stores and Ca2+ efflux from the cells, and activate voltage-gated potassium (K) channels, thereby leading to membrane hyperpolarization and reducing Ca2+ entry through Ca2+ channels.

when members of a population are separated from each other by a physical barrier, causing new species to develop.
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:the species could be seperated by many differnt barreirs like a storm that destroys a habitat and the species is split up but this does not mean that a new species would develop.

Explanation:

This is because the only reason new speices would develop is if when they get seperated the species move to a new environment forcing them to adapt.

1)inadequate handwashing.

2)cross-contamination.

3)storage and cooking temperatures.

A man of unknown genotype has type B blood, his wife has type A blood (also unknown genotype). List ALL the blood types possible
shtirl [24]

Answer:

AB, aB, Ab

Explanation:

Man has blood type B so could be BB (homozygous dominant) or could be Bb (heterozygous)

Woman has blood type A, so she could be AA (heterozygous dominant) or Aa (heterozygous)

Now, we need to make a separate cross for woman with AA, man with BB and we get children of all AB

Then we can make another cross for genotypes Aa and BB, and we get AB and aB

We can continue this for AA,Bb and for Aa,Bb
