1.In 1838 and 1839, as part of Andrew Jackson's Indian removal policy, the Cherokee nation was forced to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River and to migrate to an area in present-day Oklahoma. The Cherokee people called this journey the "Trail of Tears," because of its devastating effects.

2.This scheme forced the national government to pass the Indian Removal Act on May 28, 1830, in which President Jackson agreed to divide the United States territory west of the Mississippi into districts for tribes to replace the land from which they were removed.

Congress didn’t have the power to enforce their own laws. Because of the fear of tyranny, the AOC was established to give more powers to the states than the federal government. While Congress could write laws, there was no Executive branch or authority to enforce the laws. Each state could except or reject the law, making congress, and the central government, ineffectual. The AOC would eventually fail and be replaced by the Constitution.

Norma-Jean [14]

WW1 lasted from 1914 until 1918 and was provoked by the animosities between two alliances.

Explanation:

  • Members of Triple Alliance were dissatisfied with the division of powers, especially when it comes to colonies.
  • The immediate cause of the outbreak of war was the Sarajevo assassination and the cause of the unresolved crisis in July 1914 between Austria-Hungary and Serbia.
  • In Sarajevo assassination archduke Franz Ferdinand was murdered by Gavrilo Princip, member of Young Bosnia.
  • However, the causes of the war lie in the decades-long complex military-political situation and the rivalry between the great powers in Europe, who needed a reason to move from prosperity to a state of universal war in just a few months.
  • The war was initially fought on three main fronts: Western, Eastern and Balkan.
