Your first step would be to solve the problem in the parentheses, ( ) because according to PEMDAS the P for parentheses indicate that you must solve that part of the equation first. 

So, 4 + 7 = 11. 

Then you would multiply 11 and 8 (11 x 8) which equals 88. 

Now you move on to the second part. 

You want both the second part and the first part to equal each other. 

So take 88 and subtract it from 32 (88 - 32) which equals your answer of 56. 

So in conclusion, 8 x (4 + 7) = 88 and 32 + 56 = 88 now both equations are equal.
