What does St. Paul teach us about our bodies?
Lelu [443]
1. St. Paul writes in the First Letter to the Thessalonians: "...this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from unchastity, that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honour , not in the passion of lust like heathens who do not know God" (1 Th 4:3-5). After some verses, he continues: "God has not called us for uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you" (ibid. 4:7-8). We referred to these sentences of the Apostle during our last meeting. We take them up again today because they are especially important for the subject of our meditations.

Is courage like a virtue?
lilavasa [31]

Answer:

Yes

Explanation:

Courage is considered to be a virtue. It proves that a person can beat their fears, so well in a difficult situation, do something which is risky and which someone else might not do. Being brave means to face the danger and to confront the bad, uncomfortable situation. Courageous people can act independently and boldly, they do not shake in the wake of the problem, and they provide physical and mental strength to endure the hardness of life.

It is used often to describe someone who is willing to do things for a higher cause, or for someone else, to help someone. In this context, courage and braveness can be really important, and good traits of the person.

Fear is a normal human feeling, but it is important to overcome those fears and not let them drown us. That is why courageous people are praised, as they can battle with themselves and prove to be helpful in crucial situations.
