Salt water is a homogenous mixture. The salt dissolved in the water, so if you were to take a sip, you would taste an even mix. Salt is also a solution because of the same reason. The salt is dissolved in the water. Hope this helps you!

Answer:

A solution and a homogeneous mixture

Explanation:

A heterogeneous mixture is a mixture in which the composition is not uniform or has localized regions with different properties, in this kind of mixture substances, maintain their individual properties and they can be separated through a physical means.

A homogeneous mixture is a mixture in which the composition is uniform. All solutions would be considered homogeneous because the dissolved material is present in the same amount throughout the solution.

A colloid is a solution that has particles between 1 and 1000 nanometers dispersed and do not settle to the bottom of the container. To be classified as a colloid, the substance in the dispersed phase must be larger than a molecule but small enough to not be seen by the naked eye.

A solution is a homogeneous mixture of one substance dissolved (solute, molecular size) in another (solvent) so the properties are the same throughout.

A suspension is a heterogeneous mixture that contains solid particles sufficiently large for sedimentation, these particles may be larger than one micrometer, therefore they can be visible to the naked eye and they can eventually settle.

Considering this information we can conclude that salt water can be classified as both a solution and a homogeneous mixture.

I hope you find this information useful and interesting! Good luck!

This is a short paraphrased summary of the article about ice cores in that website.

Answer: Researchers in labs may melt or crush bits of the ice core a little at a time, each deeper layer shows the time in the Earth's climate history. Tiny pieces of pollution, metals, radoiactive fallout, pebbles, sea salt, volcanic ash and even air bubbles all present important information that researchers can look for to track changes in the atmosphere's composition and temperature.
