What demands did colonists in this region place on the American Indians who lived there

The colonists wanted food and land from the Indians. They were too lazy to farm on their own and the animals they raised ate a lot of grass, therefore they had to move land often. When they had to change land, the colonists sold the previous spot they were on, this was perfectly normal for the colonists (they thought of it as their land), but the Indians were very angered when they just sold the land (the Indians thought the land lived on its own and everyone should share it, not buy and sell it like merchandise). The colonists also normally tricked the Indians into making an unfair trade with them for food and land and, when the Indians would become upset and steal or break things belonging to the colonists, the colonist would kill the Indians with their advanced technology (remember the Indians only had bows and arrows, the colonists had guns). It's was a hard time for the Indians, but, without them, the colonists would've never survived in America.

Sorry for the long speech. I just finished this whole chapter in my APUSH class and thought I would share all of my newfound knowledge of the Indian's and colonist's relationship. :)
