Alrighty, so if I recall correctly you first need to convert 1/6 into a number that has the same denominator as 1/12. Multiply 1/6 by 2 in the numerator and denominator: 1*2=2, 6*2=12. Your new fraction is 2/12. 1/12+2/12=3/12. 3/12 of the pot has been eaten. 12/12 makes a whole pot so you subtract 12-3 and you get 9/12 of the pot that has not been eaten yet. 9/12 simplified is 3/4. Hope this helps.

yan [13]

Answer:

Charlene claim is true.

Step-by-step explanation:

Max claims that a point on any line that is perpendicular to a segment is equidistant from a segment's endpoints.

It is not necessary as  shown in the diagram (a).

Charlene claims that the line must be a perpendicular bisector for a point on the line to be equidistant from a segment's endpoints.

It is true as shown in the diagram (b).

So, Charlene claim is true.

Natasha2012 [34]
To solve for the width and the length of the pool, you will use the formula for finding the volume of a rectangular prism.  You will represent the length and the width of the pool in terms of w, the width.

Please see the attached picture for the work.

The width of the pool is 20 feet.

The length of the pool is 3 x 20 ft or 60 feet.
