He finds ways to feed himself and find shelter. He struggles at the start, but over time he begins to think and understand the nature of his surroundings. After trial and error Alex achieves the goals he has set for himself. At some points he experiences great pain in which he learns to avoid whatever had caused him that pain. He comes out that forest a new person, wanting to return to learn and explore new things in his future.
